Chapter 2. Workshop
This does not have much to do with the boat but since the workshop is especially built for Moth projects I have included it in this document. There may be some useful data and tips here if you are thinking of doing a similar projects.
The Space
I am lucky enought to be able to hire a corner of a warehouse. This facility is reasonable to rent by the square meter and heated in winter. To maximise on my pocket money each month and use the 5.5m high building I built a platform at a height of 3 meters. This gives me a dusty encloced workshop with a dust free storage / laminating floor above it.
The workshop is as small as a Moth work shop can be to save cost. It is 2.5 meters by 4.7 meters. The platform doubles my floor area to 23.5 square meters.
With no wing bars fitted I have hanging space for a moth and a mold under the platform. Rigging boats is a job for outside in the summer.
